Enabling Validia KYP for Zoom

KYP for Zoom is a specialized version of our cutting-edge KYP solution, purpose-built as a Zoom app. This native Zoom integration allows your organization to implement Validia's real-time identity authentication into your Zoom meetings, but without the additional burden of scheduling meetings and interruption of in-meeting bots.

Adding Validia KYP for Zoom

In order to add Validia KYP for Zoom, visit the Integrations page.

Under Available Integrations in your Integrations Marketplace, select the Add Integration button. This will redirect you to Zoom to authorize the Validia KYP app on your Zoom Account.

Select the Allow this app to use my shared access permissions checkbox. Then, select the Allow button. Afterwards, Validia KYP will open in your Zoom Desktop Client.

Configuring Validia KYP for Zoom

To get started with Validia KYP for Zoom, begin by going into your Zoom Account settings on the Zoom Apps tab.

Ensure that your Zoom Account has Allow apps to access meeting content enabled. You may need to contact the admin of your Zoom Account to enable this setting.

Under Allow apps to access meeting content, select the Edit button for the Validia KYP listing. The following modal will appear.

Ensure that Auto-start is turned on for Validia KYP. Then click Confirm. This will ensure that Validia KYP can automatically access meeting content the moment you join a meeting.

Using Validia KYP for Zoom

Open your Zoom Client and start a new meeting.

Once your meeting room opens, you may see the pop-up message Your app is access meeting content. This means that Validia KYP for Zoom is live!

You can also select Zoom's Apps icon in the top-right corner of the meeting to view which apps are accessing meeting content. In this panel, you can pause or stop the app's access of the content in your meeting.

In the meeting control panel, you can select Apps > Validia KYP to display your in-meeting dashboard, where you can view the real-time verifications of the participants in your meeting.

Removing Validia KYP for Zoom

To remove your Zoom integration for KYP, log in to your Zoom account and navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace.

  1. Click Manage >> Added Apps.

  2. Select the "Validia KYP" app.

  3. Click Remove.

Once removed, Validia will delete any data related to your Zoom Account within 10 days and Validia will no longer be able to access your meeting content through the Zoom app.
