Admin/Platform User
FAQ
What is Validia’s Know Your People (KYP) platform? KYP provides real-time identity authentication during video conferencing using facial and voice biometrics. It protects your organization from impersonation, AI-driven fraud, and insider threats across internal, hiring, and vendor interactions.
How do users get onboarded? Users can be onboarded through:
Manual invites from the Organization tab
ATS or HR platform integrations
Slack or email links for candidates and vendors
All methods lead to a simple onboarding flow where users create a biometric profile (bioprint).
What happens when someone joins a meeting? The Validia Bot joins scheduled or real-time meetings to authenticate participants using biometric and location data. All attendees see authentication results in real time via an in-meeting dashboard.
What happens if someone is flagged as insecure? “Insecure” means at least one of our checks triggered a potential risk: biometric mismatch (face or voice), location spoofing, liveness failure, or deepfake detection. Admins can:
Review the result in the dashboard
Follow internal escalation or security processes
Request a new onboarding or deny access depending on the risk level
What if someone doesn’t have a bioprint yet? Even without a profile, Validia still evaluates:
Location (IP region and VPN/Tor detection)
Deepfake risk
Liveness and face tracking
Attention monitoring (in beta)
This provides meaningful protection while awaiting full enrollment.
How does Validia integrate with our systems? Validia integrates with:
40+ HR and ATS platforms to onboard employees or candidates
Outlook and Google Calendar for automatic meeting syncing
Slack for alerting and incident visibility
Video platforms including Zoom, Teams, Meet, and Webex
All integrations can be added from the Integrations tab.
What roles are available in the platform? You can assign:
Admins: Full access to invite users, manage integrations, view reports
Standard Users: Limited to onboarding and participating in verified meetings
How do I remove or revoke a user’s access? From the Organization page, you can:
Invalidate pending invites
Remove active user
Their access is disabled immediately and biometric data is deleted within 30 days.
Can I get alerts or reports? Yes. Validia supports:
Slack alerts for live meeting flags or failures
Weekly email reports for activity summaries
Custom alerting logic and webhook support for SIEM tools Contact [email protected] to configure alerts or add destinations.
What permissions does Validia require? Each integration shows a clear list of required permissions. For example:
Calendar: Read-only access to sync meeting invites
Slack: Permission to post alerts in selected channels
ATS/HR: Access to user metadata and badge photos Permissions are limited to only what is needed for identity verification.
Can we run a pilot before full deployment? Yes. Most customers begin with a focused rollout (e.g. hiring or vendors). This lets you evaluate Validia in a live setting before scaling to other departments or use cases.
Where is user data stored? Facial and voice biometrics are converted into private embeddings that are not reversible back to audio or video. No raw biometric files are stored. All data is encrypted, access-controlled, and deleted 30 days after inactivity or request termination.
Are there logs or API access? Yes. Validia provides:
An API for pulling verification logs
A standard SIEM export format
Timestamps, confidence scores, and user metadata See the API & SIEM section for details.
